V Festival will play host to two of the country's biggest dance acts with The Chemical Brothers and The Prodigy added to this year's line-up.

The Chemical Brothers join the V Festival line-up

The Prodigy will play Weston Park, Staffordshire on Saturday and Hylands Park, Chelmsford on Sunday with The Chemical Brothers playing alternate days.

Both acts will join main stage co-headliners Scissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand as part of what will be an 80 strong line up.

Electro-punk outfit The Prodigy return to Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire for the festival on August 20 and 21.

The group announced their return last year with the release of their album Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned.

Chemical Brothers return hard on the heels of the success of Number One album Push the Button.

Dance duo Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons will be bringing Block Rockin' Beats back to the festival following a successful appearance in 2002.

Festival Director Bob Angus said: "With The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers now confirmed to headline the 2nd stage, we are headed for a really stellar line up for the 10th anniversary. We pride ourselves on putting on an unbeatable live music experience and V Festival 2005 will not disappoint, especially as we are still to announce yet another unparalleled main stage headline act."
