A Witham-based housebuilder has announced record results for the last financial year.
Persimmon Homes, which has its Essex headquarters in Collingwood Road, increased its profits by 33 per cent compared with the previous year.
Figures released yesterday show that the company achieved net pre-tax profits of £470.4 million, compared with the 2003 figure of £352.5 million.
The company employs 54 people in Witham and has 16 offices across the country.
It attributes its growth in profits to reducing net debt and establishing long-term relationships with other organisations.
