Parents today spoke of their son's courageous fight to beat a second brain tumour.
Warren Turner died aged 30 after being diagnosed with only the second case of his condition ever discovered in the world
He had earlier battled successfully against a tumour when he was just eight. His parents Eric and Pat told of their son's bravery and determination after he fought to lead a normal life.
Pat said: "He took it all on the chin and fought everything but unfortunately it was a fight he couldn't win.
"Everyone regarded him as a hero for how he fought it - his will-power and attitude was amazing."
Warren, a former pupil at the Harwich School, underwent a major operation to remove his first brain tumour when he was eight. Despite spending 48 hours in a coma, he recovered and went on to live a normal life.
Warren died last Monday after being diagnosed with an extremely rare second brain tumour in July. He was operated on again but recovered enough to go home for Christmas and new year.
However, after suffering further complications two weeks ago he was re-admitted to Essex County Hospital in Colchester and died suddenly in his sleep.
