The future of a teenage charity has been secured after a major cash injection.
Staff at Teen Talk Harwich are celebrating after being awarded £90,000 over the next three years
The money has been given by Tendring Primary Care Trust (PCT) and will pay for everything from wages to the upkeep of the site in Cliff Road, Dovercourt.
Most importantly, it ensures the befriending centre will continue to provide vital support for many young people in need.
Kim Milburn, of Teen Talk, said: "We are extremely happy as the town needs somewhere like this.
"Obviously it would close without this funding and it is quite worrying to think what people would do if we weren't around. We're as busy as ever so people obviously need us."
The grant came from two applications and is funded through the Partnership Funding initiative.
