A Witham school wants parents to back its plans to construct an all-weather sports pitch.
The John Bramston School, in Spinks Lane, is asking parents to return a form supporting its proposals to develop part of the school grounds into an all-weather synthetic grass sports pitch with changing rooms.
The facility would also be used by local football clubs and Witham Hockey Club.
Under the proposals, the school would provide the land and the money to build the changing rooms while Essex Learning and Skills Council, Essex County Council and Braintree Council would fund the new pitch.
Principal Ted Rowley said: "We believe that there will be considerable benefits for our students."
