The victim of a vicious nightclub assault appealed for information as police released CCTV images of the suspect.
Ryan Wagstaff, 21, was working part time as a barman at Zinc nightclub, in Lucy Road, Southend, when a clubber suddenly punched him.
The beating left him with a broken jaw that had to be operated on twice.
Mr Wagstaff, from Shoebury, now has a lengthy scar and was also left with permanent nerve damage after the attack at 1.25am on Sunday, October 17.
He said: "I hope he will get caught. I don't like the fact someone will get away with doing that."
PC Mike Calvert of Southend Police said: "This was an unprovoked violent attack. We haven't had anyone come forward. The attack was serious enough to attract a grievous bodily harm charge."
The attacker was white, aged 25 to 30, 5ft7ins to 5ft10 ins tall with short dark hair and slim build. He was wearing a short-sleeved black top, dark trousers and was carrying a coat with a furry hood.
Police would also like to speak to a man with a white shirt and blond hair. Anyone with information should contact PC Calvert on 01702 431212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
