Fundraiser Frazer King said he will pick up a pool cue again, despite playing for 24 hours at tables between Colchester and Lincoln.
Mr King, accompanied by friends Simon Longman, Ali Voy, Paul Double and Andy Lipton, took on the challenge to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Relief and St Barnabas Hospice in Lincolnshire.
Together they played 114 games at 17 pubs, and reckon they have made about £1,500 in sponsorship and donations.
Mr King, of Earlswood Way on St Michael's Estate, Colchester, said: "I will play again. It was tough going, but it was good, very good. We are all recovering now, but it was definitely worth it."
Inspiration for the event came through his niece, who, now aged 15, has recovered from leukaemia, and his stepfather, who lives in Lincoln and has been diagnosed with cancer.
