Poachers armed with catapults are flushing out rabbits and killing them at a family country park.
The illegal activity is being investigated by wardens at Langdon Hills Country Park after two men were spotted acting suspiciously in the popular Hall Woods area by an Echo reporter.
Following the tip off they assessed the site, which is a magnet for families and ramblers.
Ranger Alastair Boorman told how the latest sighting comes just weeks after two men were caught red-handed hunting rabbits in the Westley Heights section of the 1,000 acre park, off the High Road.
Mr Boorman told how the poachers claimed they were unaware it was banned and smashed the windows of a park building with a catapult as they left - despite being let off with just a warning.
