Marcus Poston's big chance of lining-up on the same bill as Olympic silver medallist Amir Khan is hanging in the balance.
The Harwich Amateur Boxing Club fighter will take on Liverpool's Mike Robinson as they vie for a semi-final berth in the Amateur Boxing Association Championships at the Gorleston Ocean Rooms in Norfolk on Saturday.
And the night was due to be extra special with Olympian and light-welterweight Khan poised to appear two bouts later.
However, a dispute over ticket allocations has forced teenager Khan to withdraw from the championships.
The disruption is unlikely to affect Poston as he gears up for his biggest bout to date in his career with the 18-year-old admitting he is in top shape.
"I'm confident, very confident," he said.
"I've been in top form in my last few fights and feel that although my opponent will be tough, it's a winnable one."
Harwich ABC will have a second representative on the night with Charlie Jacobs taking on Southampton's Ian Weaver in his Golden Gloves Championships quarter-final.
