Now they are calling for help from members of the public to help catch those responsible.
The tyres were dumped in Beach Road, St Osyth. Michael Talbot, a St Osyth parish councillor and portfolio holder for the environment on Tendring Council, said: "I absolutely deplore the dumping of these tyres."
He said the area where the fly-tippers struck was an isolated road connecting the village with St Osyth beach and was a favourite spot for dumping rubbish.
In another recent incident in St Osyth, fly-tippers threw tyres into the road.
Tendring Council, arranging for the tyres to be cleared away, hopes the costs might be recouped from the culprits if they are found.
