Southend United goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan is bidding to secure a seventh successive home clean sheet for the Shrimpers against Bury tomorrow.

Steve Tilson's side have yet to concede a goal at Roots Hall since the turn of the year and the former Southampton shot stopper is keen to extend the impressive sequence of shut outs.

Should the Seasiders stop the Shakers scoring it would equal their best run of clean sheets at Roots Hall for 15 years.

"I can't remember the last time we let one in at home," said 27-year-old Flahavan.

"Things have been going well at the back and it would be nice to keep it going.

"But winning is all that matters on Saturday and even if it ended up 5-3 I would still be delighted."

But Flahavan is expecting a difficult clash with the lowly Gigg Lane outfit and compared the Shakers' current position to the one Blues were in last season.

"They're not in any immediate danger but they are still down there and will be looking to get more points on board to ensure they are definitely safe," Flahavan added.
