About 50 children were in for a treat this half-term holiday as Colchester United's midfielder Kevin Watson paid a surprise visit to a soccer camp.

Even the snow could not dampen spirits as the two-day fun-filled soccer camp event, held inside Clacton Leisure Centre, got under way.
The event was organised by the Colchester United Community Sports Trust. The youngsters got the chance to brush up on their footballing skills and take part in matches.
The former Reading star passed on some of his own special coaching tips to the budding footballers.
