Kevin Harman believes his Southend side can finally kill off their National Division Three South relegation fears with victory at strugglers Weston-Super-Mare tomorrow.

The third bottom West Country outfit occupy the last place in the drop zone and the Seasiders, who are ninth, can almost certainly cement their future at this level for another season with a win in Somerset.

"If we beat Weston-Super-Mare tomorrow I can't see them getting out of trouble -it's as simple as that," said Southend's director of rugby Harman.

"A win for us will kill off any lingering fears we have of dropping out of this league.

"Victory would put us nearly 20 points clear of Weston-Super-Mare, which, with six games to go, would give them a mountain to climb to get out of trouble.

"It would be mathematically possible for them, but highly unlikely as they would have to win every game and rely on other teams' results."
