Dance students are stepping out for their first public showcase next week.

The pupils from Colbayns High School in Clacton need a cushioned dance floor for their exam work at school so they are putting on their first show to raise money for it.

More than 130 youngsters from every year group are taking part in the show which will be at The Princes Theatre next Thursday. at 7.30pm.

Dance teacher Carrie Chapman is staging the show and pupils were hard at work rehearsing this week.

There will also be a guest appearance by the Bebop Stage Performers of Clacton. Tickets are priced £6 for adults and £5 for concessions.
