Travellers can expect another day of Arctic conditions today, with forecasters warning that the worst of the cold snap is yet to come.

Snow settled overnight over much of Essex, and forecasters warned of worse conditions tomorrow.
A depression arriving on Thursday is expected to bring much heavier snow to the UK.
Traffic police for Colchester and Tendring said no accidents were reported before the morning rush-hour.
"All the main roads have been gritted, so all it takes is a bit of good driving around the housing estates and everyone should be fine," said a Stanway traffic unit spokesman.
