Vital medical equipment has gone missing from pharmacies in the Maldon area.
Maldon and South Chelmsford Primary Care Trust (PCT) has issued a plea for help in tracking down its missing medical oxygen cylinder sets.
When patients in the Maldon district need oxygen, they are supplied with cylinders of oxygen and an oxygen headset to control the flow.
But several of these vital bits of kit have gone missing and local pharmacists are keen to track them down.
Oxygen headsets cost in the region of £120 to £180 and belong to the pharmacy which supplies them.
Margaret Cutler, PCT head of pharmacies, said: "If you have a headset that is not being used, please return it to the pharmacy. If you know of one that has been lost or damaged, please let us know. I can track down which pharmacy supplied the set and, if necessary, can write it off."
