Clacton's heritage has suffered another blow with the demolition of three Edwardian seafront shelters.

Contractors moved in first thing on Monday to start work.
The three shelters were on the lower promenade opposite Tower Road, on the mid promenade opposite Edith Road, and on the mid promenade opposite Thoroughgood Road in Clacton.
In the past, the shelters have been targeted by vandals, alcoholics and drug users. Many homeless people have also made use of the shelters.
Tony Sargent, a Tendring councillor, has been campaigning for a number of years to clean up and keep the historic shelters.
Mike Page, spokesman for Tendring Council, said the shelters were all regularly vandalised and were generally under-used.
