David Sheepshanks hailed the resilience of his Ipswich Town side after watching them scrap a point at Preston.
The Blues were below par but still fought back from behind to sneak a 1-1 draw in Friday's Coca-Cola Championship clash at Deepdale.
And Blues chairman Sheepshanks told the Gazette: "One word springs to mind to describe our performance - resilient.
"Preston were excellent and certainly one of the best sides we've played in recent weeks. Hopefully they'll keep performing like that and play that well against our other promotion rivals.
"But we hung in there and got a point and that says an awful lot about the spirit in our camp."
