FOURTEEN-goal top scorer Freddy Eastwood stretched Southend's unbeaten league run to seven games at a snowy Roots Hall tonight.
The Shrimpers dominated the match but looked like they would be unable to find a way past Shrews goalkeeper Scott Howie.
The custodian kept out a number of Blues' shots until Eastwood headed home in the 78th minute as a snowstorm engulfed the ground.
Shrewsbury only had one shot on target in the first half when Darryl Flahavan parried Kelvin Langmead's shot and then saw Luke Rodgers blast the rebound over the crossbar.
