Maldon Town are bidding to extend their run of wins to a staggering 15 tonight.
The Park Drive club have won 13 Southern League division one east matches in a row and their last Southern League Cup match.
Tonight that run is on the line as they face East Thurrock United at home in the fourth round of the Southern League Cup (7.45pm).
There is no possibility of a draw with extra-time and penalties called upon if the score is level at full-time.
And manager Colin Wallington is determined to continue his side's extraordinary run. He said: "It's an old cliche but winning is a habit and I think we have certainly proved that.
"I don't want this to stop and I have no intention of letting it stop."
