A woman's trip to watch a TV show being filmed looks set to take her several thousand miles farther than she expected.
Clair Farthing, 25, of Church Street, Bocking, won a two-week trip to America when she appeared in the audience of Channel 4's new late-night entertainment show The Friday Night Project.
Miss Farthing, a technical support officer at Stansted Airport, booked tickets to watch the show being filmed on Thursday with her friends Jemma White, Zoe Simpson and Stacey Paige. The episode was screened on Friday.
Miss Farthing said: "I just got some tickets for the audience and they rang me up to see if I wanted to ask the host Neil Morrissey a question, and when I got there they wanted me to take part in the games.
"I played a couple of the games, I had to be blindfolded and was sitting on the stage with Nadia from Big Brother and Maureen from Driving School, and Neil Morrissey had to guess which of us was me from kissing us, which was quite a laugh."
