There was traffic chaos around Stansted Airport when a bus caught fire on a busy road.

Four fire crews were called to the scene of the blaze, on the A120 dual carriageway near the airport, at 3.40pm on Friday.

They spent 40 minutes tackling the blaze with foam. Traffic was delayed by the dual carriageway being reduced to one lane in each direction.

The blaze started shortly after the 72-seat double-decker bus had dropped a group of people off at the airport.

The driver, a man aged about 50, was unhurt but very shocked.
