Joe Royle today saluted Ipswich Town goalkeeper Kelvin Davis and admitted he deserves to be playing in the Premiership.
The shotstopper has been in inspirational form in the last two matches, helping his side pick up valuable wins against Sheffield United and Leicester City.
And manager Royle said: "I've been saying for a while I think he's comfortably the best goalkeeper in the Coca-Cola Championship.
"He's made vital, match-winning saves in the last couple of games and I really hope he gets a chance to play at the highest level next season."
Royle takes his side to Preston tonight, looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Championship.
