About £5,000 worth of power tools were stolen from a building site at the back of Clacton County High School.
Police have a full list of the tools stolen from the site in Walton Road, Clacton.
They include: a skill saw, jig-saw, router, an SDS hammer drill, two grinders, two transformers, Kangol breaker, cordless Dewalt drill and Bosch cordless drill, as well as various drill parts and electrical leads.
The tools were locked in a metal storage container, which was broken into.
It happened between 6.20pm last Thursday and 7.30am on Friday
