A children's centre has raised much-needed funds to help safeguard the future of the facility thanks to snooker star Ronnie O'Sullivan.
Staff and volunteers Buddies Children's Centre, based at Brickhouse Farm, Maldon, are constantly looking at ways to raise money to meet their running costs.
The latest initiative was a raffle to help maintain its pre-school and respite care services.
A total of £628.20 was raised, with Mayor of Maldon Ken Smith picking the winning tickets at the centre.
Lyn Munson, centre manager of Buddies, said the first prize winner will receive a signed snooker cue donated by world snooker champion Ronnie O'Sullivan.
