Discussions are taking place over the possible move of Maldon's Tourist Information Centre.
The centre, tucked away in Coach Lane, could be moving into the Maeldune Centre at the top of Market Hill.
The current premises are considered by Maldon District Council to be too small, and it feels a move to a more prominent position in the town centre, such as the Maeldune Centre, could be beneficial to visitors and tourists.
Russell Dawes, leisure and tourism officer at Maldon District Council, said: "Exploratory discussions are under way to see if new premises can be found for the Tourist Information Centre.
"It is no secret that new premises need to be found for it to be in a more prominent location, and the Maeldune Centre is an option."
