A Stansted employment fair did the job with more than 1,000 people descending on the airport looking for work.
Hundreds of job-seekers came face-to-face with 24 airport companies, including Servisair, easyJet, National Express and Stansted owners BAA.
Organised by BAA and Jobcentreplus, the event was as busy as ever, with airport companies looking to fill both part and full-time vacancies.
Owing to the popularity of the event in previous years, the jobsfair was this year held at the newly-opened Radisson SAS hotel.
Valda Edmunds, BAA Stansted employment strategy executive, said: "It's a good way for employers and people looking for work to meet."
Nina Earle, business manager of Stansted Jobcentreplus, said: "It was a great success, everything went fabulously. We had over 1,000 people through the doors, and the feedback from the employers was very good.
"They definitely had enough people to fill all the vacancies, so now they'll be looking at applications and carrying out interviews."
