Halstead, Harwich and Saffron Walden are set to get £50,000 in a payout from Essex County Council.
The council has earmarked £250,000 to be spent on five market towns.
Essex County Council leader Lord Hanningfield said: "This extra £50,000 will be used to build on work already envisaged, and we will be working with our district partners to realise benefits for the people of these towns.
"These initiatives are about making Essex a great place to work and live."
A further £50,000 each has also been allocated to Rochford and Canvey Island for the coming year.
Lord Hanningfield said: "The market towns are the heart of historic Essex but tend to be overlooked by Government regeneration funds.
"This commitment of £250,000 demonstrates our commitment to supporting these towns and to ensuring their future prosperity.
