Guesthouse vacancies have been hard to come by due to an influx of construction workers working in the boom town.
The builders and contractors are reserving rooms while they work on several developments in the area.
Don Fisher, owner of Paston Lodge in Parkeston, has been extremely busy and often fully-booked.

Jacqueline Howells, manager of Harwich Tourist Information Centre, said B&B and hotel proprietors were benefiting from all the developments.
