Brit winners Franz Ferdinand are the second act lined up for this year's V Festival, it was revealed today.
The Scottish four-piece will be joint headliners with the Scissor Sisters playing Hylands Park in Chelmsford on the Sunday of the tenth V Festival this summer.
Last week, the band were crowned Best British Group and Best British Rock Act at the Brits, following up a superb 2004, which saw them top the charts with their self-titled debut album.
Lead singer Alex Kapranos said: "We heard about what a great festival V was to play last year and wished we could've been there.
"We're really excited to be playing the main stage and co-headlining with the Scissor Sisters - we'll be sure to give fans a performance to remember."
Tickets for this year's V Festival, which takes place on the weekend of August 20 and 21, will go on sale on March 5.
