A youth is to face sentence next month after admitting setting fire to a garage and putting the lives of two people in danger.
Michael Nightingale, 18, of Anchor Road, Tiptree, pleaded guilty at Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday to a charge of arson.
He admitted destroying a double garage and a Vauxhall Astra car inside it on November 12 last year and at the time was reckless as to whether the lives of Robert and Lorna Nightingale were endangered.
Nightingale denied another five charges of arson relating to alleged incidents between June and November last year and these counts were left on the file.
Nightingale was remanded in custody for pre-sentence reports.
