V Festival organisers have announced Franz Ferdinand will be joining the Scissor Sisters as co-headliners for this year's V Festival.
Franz Ferdinand
It is the band's only festival appearance this year.
The group capped a great year last week with awards at the Brits for British Rock Act and British Group. They had five nominations in all for the awards and the last band to do that were Oasis!
They also performed at this year's Grammys and opened the show in LA by performing their single Take Me Out.
Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters will both perform at Hylands Park, Chelmsford on the Sunday and Weston Park Staffordshire on the Saturday.
Alexander Kapranos, from the group said: "We heard about what a great festival V was to play last year and wished we could've been there. We're really excited to be playing the main stage and co-headlining with the Scissor Sisters - we'll be sure to give fans a performance to remember."
Festival Director Bob Angus commented: "With Scissor Sisters, and now Franz Ferdinand confirmed to perform, we're confident that this years V Festival will live up to it's reputation for fantastic live music."
This year's festival will be held on the weekend of August 20th and 21st.
Tickets for the festival go on sale on March 5th.
