The sports minister was today due to officially open extensive new facilities at an Essex school.
Richard Caborn was due to visit Thurstable School, in Maypole Road, Tiptree, which has specialist sports college status, to see the result of a £2.3 million investment programme.
The school now boasts a modern fitness gym, dance studio, conference suite and new reception offices. There is also indoor and outdoor changing facilities and classrooms plus a full-size artificial turf pitch.
