Plans have been drawn up for a children's play centre on an industrial estate.
An application has been made for the family entertainment site at the Phoenix industrial park, close to Parkeston Quay.
The proposal is based in two of the six units, both of which are currently unused.
It is believed the centre will be called Hullabaloo and will be similar to play areas such as Colchester's Go Bananas and Clacton's Rascals.
The idea was backed by Ramsey and Parkeston parish councillors at their latest meeting.
The council unanimously voted to support the plan, which now goes to Tendring Council. It is expected a final decision on whether to allow the plan will be made next month.
