Romantic couples celebrating Valentine's Day shared a little bit of their love by helping to raise money for charity.
Diners eating at the newly-opened bistro L'Espoir, Tollesbury, were given an extra special romantic twist to their evening on Saturday when owner Mary Donovan wrote poems for the loved-up pairs.
Miss Donovan offered her poetic services by serving up a poem, with a healthy heart message, as well as entrees, mains and desserts.
She said: "We were fully booked on Saturday and I wrote eight poems, which was really good. Of course, we have Valentine's Day itself, so I hope to do more."
Couples who commissioned a poem received a printed copy. Donations for the poems were given to the British Heart Foundation.
