A mid-Essex school has received an award of £840,322 for new sports facilities.
The cash will be used to provide new changing facilities for the existing four court sports hall and swimming pool at Great Baddow High School.
The money comes from the Lottery's Fund's £750 million New Opportunities for PE and Sport programme which supports the creation of new, and modernisation of existing, indoor and outdoor sports facilities for schools.
The proposals will also provide improved access to existing outdoor pitches and provide a community entrance area.
It will also enable greater participation in badminton, swimming, football and basketball.
