A school left without a permanent headteacher following a damning Ofsted report now officially has a new leader at the helm.
Prittlewell Technology College is on special measures after inspectors criticised behaviour, attendance, teaching and management at the school.
But the college could be on the road to recovery now interim head Denise Allen has been appointed permanent headteacher.
Inspectors have already praised the new head saying she has brought energy and commitment to the leadership of the school.
