A MAN miraculously escaped with minor burns after a ferocious gas explosion blew his home to ruins in the early hours of yesterday morning.
The 48-year-old occupant was knocked unconscious by the initial blast but managed to signal to firefighters from beneath the rumble.
The mysterious explosion torn through his top floor flat, ripping off the roof and walls, in Duke Place, Laindon, at 5am.
