Children got to grips with chopsticks at a Chinese New Year celebration.

Both pupils and teachers donned traditional Chinese costumes as they munched on noodles to mark the start of the Year of the Rooster at Colchester's Montgomery Infant School.
Youngsters also got the chance to parade around inside a colourful Chinese dragon, and learn about the country's customs and culture.
The day of Chinese fun has become a regular annual treat at the school in Baronswood Way.
