Pupils from Alleyn Court School will be gunning for national glory after regional success.
The cross-country team from the school in Wakering Road, Great Wakering, performed well at the eastern region finals of the Independent Schools Association finals at New Eccles Hall, Norwich, where they were up against 23 other schools.
Alleyn Court came away with two regional champions, Blaise Copeland (year four girls) and Aston Kirby (year four boys), and saw a quartet of year five/six runners selected to represent the eastern region at the national championships at Princethorpe, Coventry on February 25.
Josh Cope-land, Scarlett Richard and Ben Thomas all competed at the finals last year. They will be joined by Lawrence Imana this year.
Alleyn Court also finished with two team victories once points scoring positions had been added up.
