Dan Thrale and Lauren Dudfield defeated Elms' Phil Stevens and Dawn Collins 6-2 5-7 6-2.
And Gemma Smith and Ian Beverley had a 6-1 6-3 straight sets win over Martin Needs and Debby Lincoln to move in on the top dogs.
