The widow of a Colchester Red Cap murdered in Iraq has told of her hurt after learning by chance that a documentary about his death is due for broadcast tonight.
Young widow - Gemma Long, pictured with baby son Ben in 2003, only learned of the TV investigation by chance. 27422-5
The hard-hitting Sweeney Investigates programme makes dramatic new claims about the events that led to the killings at Al Majar in 2003 of six Colchester-based military policemen - including Gemma Long's husband Paul
Due for transmission on BBC 2 at 9.50pm, it features interviews with several relatives of the six, including Cpl Long's mother Pat, of Newcastle.
But Mrs Long - a widow at 22 - said she only learnt of the existence of the film last week.
She said: "I didn't even know about it. The only reason I found out was that I got a call from John Miller, the father of Simon, who was one of the group killed."
Mrs Long and other relatives of the six Red Caps have been summoned to another meeting with the Army about the deaths, in London next Thursday.
