Plans for a roadside development in Braintree have been changed.
A 3.4 acre plot at Panners Roundabout, also known as Notley Cross, could be home to a petrol station or car sales facility, hotel and two drive-through restaurants.
Previous planning applications to Braintree Council have been for the hotel, one fast-food restaurant, motor showroom and a petrol station.
The current application is for outline consent only to build on the site next to the A120 trunk road which provides a direct link from Braintree to Stansted Airport.
A 76-bedroom Sleep Inn Hotel would be on the west of the site with one parking space per room as well as eight cycle spaces.
The fast-food restaurants would be to the north and south of the site with entrance and access route to each to serve the drive-through element.
A full planning application will be submitted once details of the occupiers of the petrol station and fast-food restaurants is known.
