Young people in Rochford are being forced out of the area because they cannot afford to buy or rent a home, it has been revealed.
The news comes in a survey which shows the area is facing major problems in dealing with both young people and an ageing population.
The consultants' survey said 847 households were planning to leave the district because of a lack of affordable housing to rent or buy.
Dramatic rises in house prices in recent years have meant many youngsters are unable to consider buying a property in the area.
