Jean has also previously spent time volunteering for the Essex Air Ambulance and is well aware of the need for the emergency helicopter service.
She says, "I am delighted to have taken on this exciting role and I'm looking forward to helping keep the county's Air Ambulance flying. I am amazed by the amount of support the charity already receives from the people of Essex, their contribution is invaluable and I'm sure that together we will be able to keep our life-saving helicopter flying well into the future."
