History seems to be repeating itself for a family playing the generation game.
Happy family - Reg Rothwell, 85, Barbara Street, 66, Martin Rowlingson, 42, Max Rowlingson, 19, and son, Ronnie. Picture: TERRY WEEDEN 40821-1
Nearly 20 years ago, Max Rowlingson was the baby being cradled by his now late great-great-grandmother, Ethel Rothwell, in the Gazette in 1986.
But now, Max, 19, is the proud new father to the new fifth generation of his surviving family.
Ronnie, at four months, is the latest addition to the family with his mum, Serena, also 19, of Willow Avenue, Kirby Cross.
Little Ronnie not only has his granddad, Martin Rowlingson, 42, of Holland-on-Sea nearby, but his great-grandmother, Barbara Street, 66, of Greenway, Frinton, is just around the corner.
And he also has both his great-great-grandparents Reg, 85, and Kathleen Rothwell, 86, living in Thorpe.
