Colchester United manager Phil Parkinson knows his side has to improve fast in the wake of Saturday's 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Blackpool.
He said: "We're down at the bottom fighting for our lives at the moment. You can't lose as many home games as we have done.
"Away from home we have picked up enough points to be in a respectable position. At home, though, it's nowhere near enough.
"We had a terrific win at home to Walsall, and Blackpool came here and said to themselves that they were not going to allow us any time on the ball and they would sit back.
"We predicted that, but we were missing people like Kevin Watson (calf injury) and he is the sort of player who can dictate the flow of football in a game like this."
