Carl Fletcher left for Welsh international duty on a high after grabbing a vital last-minute winner for West Ham over Cardiff City.

But now his thoughts are turning to a new challenge as he looks to add to his four international caps in Wednesday's friendly against Hungary in Cardiff.

It's his first chance to work with new Wales coach John Toshack, having previously come to the attention of Mark Hughes.

"I'm glad to have stayed in the squad because a new manager likes to bring in new people and new ideas," said Fletcher.

"Now it's down to me to go there and put in some hard work.

"It's another chance for me to improve and to learn about the game at a higher level. I just want to keep learning all the time."
