Alex Tudor has today been unveiled as an Essex player.
The 27-year-old fast bowler has been given the chance to resurrect his career after proving his fitness, following his release by Surrey at the end of the season.
Speaking to the Gazette, Tudor said he was delighted to have the opportunity to help Essex win some silverware this year and secure a return to the premier league of the County Championship.
"I'm looking to get promoted with my new county to get them back where they belong and perhaps win one of the one-day tournaments," he said.
"I just want to have a successful season and know once I get on the field my cricket will show through."
