The year six youngsters got to cut the ribbon to officially open the shop in the Bentalls Complex yesterday watched by headmaster Andrew Horton, store manager Phil Whiting with staff and some of the first customers.
The children were invited to tour the new store and, thanks to their school's loyalty to the Tesco Computers for Schools vouchers scheme, they returned to class bearing a giant cheque for £500 to buy another computer for their IT suite.
"It was a lovely morning and we would like to thank Tesco for inviting us," said Mr Horton.
